In recent years,  Delhi and NCR have seen unusually intense monsoon rains that overwhelm rain management systems, causing unpredictable flooding. In my condominium, water levels tend to reach up to  4 feet despite having water pumps and barriers, as it’s difficult to anticipate flooding until it’s already underway.

The FloodGuard is a smart humidity and temperature monitoring device designed to predict potential flooding in closed-gated communities. It features a customizable alarm system that triggers when humidity levels reach thresholds linked to past flooding incidents. By utilizing local weather data, it helps residents prepare in advance, minimizing flood damage. Although the market is saturated with humidity sensor technology yet this is one of the first products that combines humidity sensor data with a real-time response system i.e. the buzzer alarm.
