My research paper, conducted in collaboration with Rapido, highlights the urgent need for seatbelts in auto-rickshaws to improve passenger safety. Using data collected via the Phyphox app, I compared acceleration and jerks experienced in cars versus auto-rickshaws. The findings revealed significantly greater irregularities in auto-rickshaws due to differences in suspension and safety measures, underscoring the necessity for enhanced safety protocols in these widely-used vehicles.
